IONA develops the white label drone delivery solution for logistics operators who are losing hundreds of millions every year trying to amortise small volumes and remote deliveries.
Problem
Logistics with road vehicles need high parcel volumes in dense areas to be profitable, which isn't feasible in rural areas and challenging in urban/suburban ones. Moreover, traditional delivery costs are volatile due to labor and fuel making up 90% of a delivery van's expenses, leading to thin margins and losses for logistics companies.
Solution
IONA uses a flexible hub-and-spoke model with tilt-rotor drones that VTOL in urban areas and switch to fixed-wing for rural routes. Hubs manage battery swaps, package storage, and route management, allowing drones to autonomously deploy for deliveries, courier services, and redistribution.
