PES Technologies

PES Technologies creates handheld devices that, by analysing gas patterns produced by soil life, provide real-time data for soil health assessments, empowering farmers to make informed, sustainable farming decisions.

Problem

Dairy farmers face challenges like low soil fertility, pH imbalances, and degradation, reducing pasture quality and yield. This leads to higher costs due to inefficient fertilizer use, environmental issues like water pollution, and limits nutrient management effectiveness, impacting farm profitability and sustainability.

Solution

PES Technologies offers dairy farmers a rapid, handheld soil analysis tool for real-time evaluation of key soil health indicators. This helps optimise fertiliser use, improve soil fertility, and pasture quality. Tracking changes over time, farmers can refine nutrient management, reduce environmental impact, and boost profitability sustainably.

Meet the Team

Andrej Porovic, CEO, has secured over £5M for product development. Dr. Jim Bailey, CTO, is a sensor technology expert. They drive the mission to enable sustainable, profitable farming with advanced soil assessment tools. Dom Edwards, Trials Manager, will be working to identify and implement trials as part of the programme.
